Stop Wear It Purple Day

Wear It Purple is an organisation that runs “Wear It Purple Day”, a day when children are encouraged to wear Purple and Rainbow/LGBT accessories to support LGBT issues.

The shocking and uncomfortable finding my research team uncovered was that Wear It Purple has knowingly exposed minors to adult sexual content. On the 22nd of August 2025, Wear It Purple held the “Wear It Purple Gala”, where they encouraged minors to attend with free tickets, and helped them to travel there with free bus rides.
 
At this Gala, they advertised that they would have performances from adult striptease artists and Wear It Purple’s social media posts confirm that these performances happened in the presence of minors. Many of the minors who attended may have kept their attendance a secret from their parents.
 
Worse, is they can’t plead ignorance. My research team found that some of these minors were their own volunteers where they publish their names, faces, and ages on their website.
 
I was telling a high school teacher about what we found, and they said it plainly.
 
“If I, or anyone at my school did something like that, we would lose our job and have our Working With Children’s
Check revoked!”
 
I wish I could tell you that this was just a fringe group, but Wear It Purple organises their LGBT day in over 750 schools around Australia including Catholic and Christian schools. Places where you would think your children would be safe from gender ideology.
 
These Wear It Purple days, where children are encouraged to wear purple, have led to the children of conservative families being bullied, being labelled as homophobes and bigots for refusing to participate.

My team at Family in Danger is running a campaign to stop Wear It Purple, and these Secret LGBT clubs. We have a very clear plan:

• We will write letters to every single school principal in Australia telling them to stop holding Wear It Purple days.
• We are asking people to sign our Petition to the different Ministers of Education in Australia, to stop Wear It Purple days and stop funding these secret LGBT clubs.
• We are also exploring ways to have the leadership of Wear It Purple face consequences for what they did at this Wear it Purple Gala.

However, we cannot do this alone. There are 9,673 schools in Australia and each letter we send will cost us $2 in materials and postage. That’s $19,346 just to send these letters warning schools about Wear It Purple.

We also need help with getting signatures for our petition. Online advertising would cost us $1,000 to just reach 15,000 people. Each person we reach is another potential signature, and more pressure on State governments to stop these secret clubs and Wear It Purple days.

We are asking for you to help us raise $20,346 before the next Wear It Purple day on August 28, so that we can protect these students.

A Donation of $200 will help us reach 100 schools.

$100 will help us advertise our petition to 1,500 people.

$50 will help us warn 25 schools about the dangers of Wear it Purple.
